Setting Up Multi-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Multi-Factor Authentication (also called 2FA) is one of the most effective ways to protect your Elbaite account. It adds an extra layer of security on top of your password by requiring a time-based code from an authenticator app. We strongly recommend enabling 2FA to help keep your account and funds secure.

What Is 2FA?

2FA works by combining:

• Something you know (your password)
  
  
• Something you have (a one-time code from your mobile device)
  
  

This makes it much harder for anyone to access your account without your permission.

• Helps block unauthorised logins

How to Enable 2FA on Elbaite

1. Log in to your Elbaite account.
   
   
2. Navigate to your account page
   
   
3. Select Security from the menu and then select Enable 2FA.
   
   
4. Scan the QR code using an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or Authy).
   
   
5. Enter the 6-digit code shown in your app to confirm setup.
   
   
6. Do not navigate away until the process is fully complete.
   
   

Important Tips

• Make sure to complete the setup in one go. Leaving the page may interrupt the process and lock you out.
  
  
• Store backup codes (if provided) in a safe place in case you lose access to your authenticator app.
  
  

Trouble Logging In with 2FA?

If you’re locked out of your account or can’t access your 2FA code:

• Contact Elbaite Support to reset your 2FA.
  
  
• You may be asked to verify your identity before we can help restore access.
